Best Practices in Assessing Community Engagement (BPACE or “Bee-Pace”) is a discussion and networking opportunity for faculty and staff at Campus Compact partner institutions to build their capacity to assess students’ civic learning and development that occurs within a course or program at a university or a college. Publicly Engaged Scholars: Next Generation Engagement and the Future of Higher Education Edited by Margaret A. Post, Elaine Ward, Nicholas V. Longo, and John Saltmarsh Obtaining the Text Publicly Engaged Scholars: Next-Generation Engagement and the Future of Higher Education (2016) is published by Stylus Publishing, LLC.  Registered ICC Reads participants from Campus Compact partner institutions are able to purchase the text at a discounted price via the Stylus Publishing online bookstore. The spring session of ICC Reads will focus on the topic of the civic purpose of higher education by examining the voices of a new generation of engaged scholars who are committed to the renewal of higher education. Indiana Campus Compact invites you to start your summer off by attending the Colloquium on High-Impact Community Engagement Practices, formerly known as Connecting Campuses with Communities. This week-long intensive experience has been reimagined in such a way to increase your knowledge and further enhance your engaged scholarship.  The 2019 Colloquium on High-Impact Community Engagement Practices will take place May 6 – 10, 2019 and be held on the IUPUI campus in Indianapolis, Indiana. Join Indiana Campus Compact as we bring Pen to Paper back to Indiana in 2019! Pen to Paper is a two and a half-day retreat dedicated to assisting scholars in publishing their community engaged work. It provides participants with the time and space to discuss ideas with and receive feedback from journal editors, receive mentoring from retreat facilitators, share ideas with peers, and write. Registration opens in March and closes June 24, 2019, but space is limited so register early!
