Indiana Campus Compact is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that convenes, supports, and promotes Indiana institutions of higher education leveraging their knowledge, resources, and power for the public good. We believe that service-learning and community engagement is a forward thinking and effective strategy for graduating engaged citizens with 21st century workplace skills.
We are the nexus of civic engagement, community betterment, and social justice focused on students, institutions, and community members who are pushing the status quo to create the next generation of changemakers.
Indiana Campus Compact invests in its partner colleges and universities through trainings, grants, and the professional network it provides for faculty, staff, and students. Through that support, Indiana institutions of higher education are able to partner with community agencies to actualize their joint commitment to community-campus engagement for systematic change toward a healthier democracy.
Formed in 1993, Indiana Campus Compact is a partnership of college and university presidents and chancellors who have committed themselves, and their institutions, to their communities through mutually beneficial and meaningful collaborations to create engaged citizens and vibrant communities.
Indiana Campus Compact is the only organization in the state that works with public, independent, and two-year institutions of higher education.
Indiana Campus Compact is a state affiliate of Campus Compact, a national coalition of 700 colleges and universities committed to the public purposes of higher education.
The Campus Compact network includes state and regional Compacts throughout the country. State and regional Compacts serve local member institutions and communities while advancing national initiatives and place-based programming in pursuit of our shared mission.
