International Attendees or Presenters at Indiana Campus Compact Events

  • Visas

A list of the 38 countries taking part in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) can be found here.

Attendees from Non-VWP Countries (including Canada).

For those wishing to travel to the U.S. to attend Indiana Campus Compact events, a “non-work” visiting visa is required for guests coming from non-VWP countries. Citizens of non-VWP countries (including Canada) should obtain a B-1 or B-2 temporary stay visa typically awarded when clearing customs at the US boarder as part of standard access to the U.S. on business (not work) trips to an industry business & networking conference or event.

If ANY paid employment is part of your intended time in the U.S. during which you attend an event sponsored by Indiana Campus Compact (whether or not this payment is connected to either attending or presenting at an Indiana Campus Compact event), you must obtain a work visa in advance of entry, separate from the process described here.

Attendees from VWP Countries (including Europe & Australia). For anyone traveling from the 38 countries that are part of the VWP, you are able to travel to the U.S. without a visa for stays of 90 days or less if, you meet all of the requirements for this type of travel as explained here. It is recommended that those meeting this description apply for a passport or “visitor visa” at least 90 days in advance of the date you wish to travel.

  • Letters of Invitation

If you need a letter of invitation in order to receive your visa, you may request such letter upon full payment of all fees associated with attending an Indiana Campus Compact event. Indiana Campus Compact will not supply an invitation letter to unpaid or unregistered participants. Indiana Campus Compact reserves the right to refuse to provide invitation letters for attendees.

Please note, Indiana Campus Compact is unable to provide any further support to the visa application process. Obtaining a visa remains the sole responsibility of the participant. Regular cancellation deadlines and policies apply, regardless of whether or not a participant’s visa was granted.
