Mission and Vision

Mission Statement: Indiana Campus Compact is a 501(c)(3) non-profit partnership of Indiana’s public, private, and community college higher education institutions focused on advocating, implementing, and improving community engagement efforts so that students graduate as well-informed, engaged, and productive members of society who are fully enabled to provide leadership and service that advances the public good in their communities. Indiana Campus Compact is an affiliate of the national Campus Compact, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.

MISSION IN ACTION

Advocate
Indiana Campus Compact convenes, supports, and promotes Indiana institutions of higher education that are leveraging their knowledge, resources, and power for the public good.

Implement
Indiana Campus Compact provides partnership benefits directly to faculty and staff to make community engagement part of their courses, programs and projects, and part of the culture of campus life.

Improve
Indiana Campus Compact believes in the power of working together to support future leaders who push the status quo and who use their skills to create vibrant communities across Indiana.

SERVICES TO MEET THE MISSION:

Grant and Loans
Community engagement grants of up to $11,000 and loans of up to $50,000.

Training and Events
Individual consultation, state-wide professional development conferences, opportunities to publish scholarly work, learning communities, and technical assistance

Resources and Recognition
Access to journal editors and a nation-wide network of subject matter experts, electronic archives, the freshest news from the field, and a state-wide recognition program for students, faculty, staff, community partners, and institutions.

Vision Statement: Indiana Campus Compact (ICC) will be the recognized advocate, network, and agent of change for service engagement in Indiana higher education. The vision is to be a national exemplar by equipping every student in every institution with the competence, confidence, humility, and experience to be well-informed, engaged citizens through involvement in service engagement that advances the public good in their communities.
