Phase 2: Best Practices in Measuring Students’ Civic Learning and Development
February 3 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Event Navigation
In this workshop participants can expect to not only be introduced to the range of measurement tools available for assessing student civic learning and development, but to also to spend time applying those tools to three diverse student artifacts (e.g., essay/narrative, digital story, ePortfolio). Through facilitated activities and individual planning time, attendees will walk away from this experience with the beginning of a well-thought out and strategic if not rigorous plan for measuring students’ civic learning and/or development as it relates to participation in your course or program. Participation in a prior workshop regarding how to write and map specific civic outcomes with your course or program’s curriculum or activities is highly encouraged, but not required (See Phase 1).
