welcome to Indiana Campus Compact

For over 20 years, Indiana Campus Compact (ICC) has helped member institutions mobilize students state-wide to communities in need. In 2014, ICC supported over 13,000 individuals through grant programs, professional development opportunities, resources, and networking. Indiana Campus Compact was formed in 1993 as a formal compact between Indiana college and university presidents to commit themselves to their communities through service. ICC is the only organization in the state that works with public, independent, and two-year institutions of higher education.

New Partnership to Support Students in Social Ventures

Dear members and friends:

It seems funny to be thinking about an end-of-the –academic-year conference as winter is just settling in, but in a few short months we'll be celebrating and showcasing all of your successes at the Service Engagement Summit. In the interim, we want to continue to keep the opportunities the event will offer in the forefront. We've shared with you our keynotes—Conor and Jeff— and, to keep with the theme of Supporting Students in Social Ventures: Preparing Students for a Life of Career and Service, we want to bring you and your students innovative programming on social entrepreneurship. We're delighted to announce that the Impact Venture Center has come on board as a presenting sponsor and partner for the Service Engagement Summit.

If you haven't heard of the Impact Venture Center before, they're doing some amazing work. Co-founded by Ann Wilson and Erick Russell, the organization serves as a resource center and incubator to drive initiatives that generate a thriving, impact-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem in Indiana from idea to investment to impact. As a part of the Student Track on Day 2, social ventures from across the state will be in attendance to share information about their organizations, how to start a social venture, and why they're in the business of doing good.

We'll release more details regarding this track in the coming weeks, but in the meantime we hope you and your students add the Service Engagement Summit to your calendars on March 26-27, 2015. And by all means, please share this opportunity with your colleagues who want to learn more about social enterprises and for-profit companies that are creating social change and making an impact all while creating wealth.

All the best –

J.R. Jamison
Interim Executive Director
