welcome to Indiana Campus Compact

For over 20 years, Indiana Campus Compact (ICC) has helped member institutions mobilize students state-wide to communities in need. In 2014, ICC supported over 13,000 individuals through grant programs, professional development opportunities, resources, and networking. Indiana Campus Compact was formed in 1993 as a formal compact between Indiana college and university presidents to commit themselves to their communities through service. ICC is the only organization in the state that works with public, independent, and two-year institutions of higher education.

Campus Compact annual member survey now open

Campus Compact president Andrew Seligsohn announced that the annual membership survey is now open and will remain open until January 5, 2015.

Each member campus has designated a Community Service Director to be the staff liaison to Indiana Campus Compact.  Those liaisons received the announcement from Dr. Seligsohn and will be the contact person for the survey on each campus. We will be following up with everyone who received a survey link. Although there is only one contact person per campus, multiple offices will need to provide data for the most accurate campus portrait.
If you have questions about who is in that role on your campus, please feel free to contact Liza Blomquist, Program Director for Communication and Member Development at 317-274-6500 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Your institution’s responses will be combined with those from almost 1,200 campuses nationwide that comprise the Campus Compact network. Conducted each year since 1986, Campus Compact’s member survey is the most comprehensive and widely distributed review of service, service-learning, and civic engagement in higher education.

Through this instrument, we are able to calculate student and faculty involvement in service and service-learning, measure campus infrastructure for community engagement, understand faculty roles and rewards, determine alumni engagement, and receive valuable feedback about Campus Compact member services.

Results allow campuses to compare their progress with state and national trends and help all of us better articulate our case to elected officials, funders, and the media. The survey allows the Compact to demonstrate progress toward our mission of supporting growth and depth in higher education community engagement.
