Specialized training for member campuses - Carnegie Classification 2015 Elective Community Engagement Classification
Is your campus applying for the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning's 2015 Elective Community Engagement Classification? Are you still wrapping your brain around the process? Are you an Indiana Campus Compact member?
If so, here are two ways Indiana Campus Compact can help!
Indiana Campus Compact welcomes new board chair
While you likely know the staff at Indiana Campus Compact, you may be less familiar with the two groups that support our work behind the scenes through governance and program and strategic advice. The first of these groups is the Indiana Campus Compact Board of Directors. As we thank Chancellor Jerrilee Mosier of Ivy Tech Community College Northeast for her service as our chair this past year, we are
honored to welcome, President Linda Bennett, of the University of Southern Indiana to serve as chair of the Indiana Campus Compact Board of Directors.
President Bennett has served on the Indiana Campus Compact Board since assuming the presidency of the University of Southern Indiana in 2009. She joined the executive committee of the board a year ago as the Chair-Elect. Prior to moving into the president’s role at USI, President Bennett served as its provost for six years. In each of these roles, she has been a dedicated supporter of Indiana Campus Compact and an advocate for service engagement on the USI campus.

J.R. Jamison recognized with 20 under 40 honor
Congratulations to J.R. Jamison, named one of East Central Indiana's movers and shakers as part of the 20 under 40 honored in M-Magazine. Jamison is the Associate Director of Indiana Campus Compact and we couldn't be happier to have one of our own recognized for his work in the community, something he has been doing since he was an undergraduate at Ball State University.
In his nomination letter, author Kelsey Timmerman said, "He is the epitome of the "glocal" citizen - global and local. It has impacted the way his lives his life and his love for Muncie and spreading that engagement of service and learning all over."
