Fundamentals of Assessing Student Civic Learning

November 20, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

$50 - $150

Participants should come with a specific community-based or community-engaged course, curriculum, or program in mind. This interactive workshop is designed for participants to walk away with an assessment plan for and process of gathering evidence around authentic student civic learning. Participants will also be able to identify how to use results of their assessment for continuous improvement of programs and courses.

The ideal participants for this workshop are faculty or staff who either a) need the time and space to become further acquainted with assessing students’ civic learning outcomes and/or b) need to map out the outcomes, data collection, measuring, analysis and impact of a specific curricular or co-curricular experience for students.  Beginners through Advanced practitioners and scholars are welcome to attend.
