Informing and Bettering Our Work

July 7, 2016

A series of learning opportunities that will help you tell the story of community engagement through rigorous and creative assessment.

Throughout the 2016-2017 academic year, individual faculty and staff and institution-wide teams will have the chance to participate in various trainings specifically designed for their level of knowledge and readiness in the work of assessment, evaluation, and tracking, monitoring, or researching their institution’s community engagement (CE) activities.

This energizing and challenging program will be offered as either as phase-at-a-time or challenge-by-choice opportunity within each learning category. Learners may engage as Individual Learners or as an Institution-wide team

In order to get the most out of these workshops, faculty and staff should come with a particular service-learning course, program and /or curricular service experience in mind (e.g., episodic day of service, scholarship program, etc.). Throughout each phase of the series, participants will leave with the tools they need to implement assessment of that course, program, or service experience.
