2012 Campus Election Engagement Project

Is your campus preparing for the 2012 election?  Are you working to help your students register, volunteer, learn about the issues, and turn out at the polls?  Do you need support in your efforts?  Indiana Campus Compact can help. In partnership with the Campus Election Engagement Project (CEEP), Indiana Campus Compact is helping member campus mobilize thousands of students to get involved in the 2012 election.  Through this collaboration, we are connecting campuses with one another and their communities, building relationships with state and national organizations, compiling research and voter engagement resources, and helping campuses develop new and innovative programming to ensure students across Indiana are engaged in and informed about the upcoming election process.

In addition, Indiana Campus Compact will fund up to 12 mini-grants to help defray the costs of Indiana Campus Compact member campus voter engagement events, programs, and initiatives. In order to be eligible for this funding, the projects must demonstrate a clear plan for voter engagement efforts, offer a community benefit, and demonstrate financial need.  Funds are available September 21, 2012, through November 9, 2012.

Indiana’s Campus Election Project will be coordinated by Indiana Campus Compact Program Associate Michelle Clemons. Michelle will provide member campus students, faculty, and staff with CEEP resources, technical assistance, and support for their voter engagement efforts.  Learn more about available resources.
