Share your thoughts on the significant work you're doing

As an Indiana Campus Compact (ICC) Advisory Council member, I look forward to seeing the biannual results of the ICC IMPACT semester surveys.  As a researcher, I know the importance of a large number of respondents.  As a service-learning practioner, I know the significance of the work that Indiana Campus Compact members do on their campuses and in their communities.

Each semester ICC provides its members and constituents a platform to describe the impact that ICC membership has on their programs, services, and the resources that their campuses offer as they relate to service-learning and civic engagement.

ICC provides professional development opportunities, trainings, grants, and other resources to support higher education’s efforts to develop students into well-informed citizens who then engage in the community to improve people’s lives.

If you participated with ICC in one or more ways between July 1 and December 31, 2011 (including receiving the ICC eBrief), you should have received an email with a link to the Fall 2011 IMPACT survey.  That survey is your platform to provide ICC staff, Presidents and Chancellors Board, and the Advisory Council with feedback on ICC’s impact.

In addition to communicating the results with the Presidents and Chancellors on each campus, your feedback will help ICC capture the information needed to plan future events and programs, and help guide staff and board members as we seek new funding and partnership opportunities.

The survey is short, only about 5 minutes, and it’s anonymous.  No research is necessary; we would simply like to know how your membership in Indiana Campus Compact impacts your work.    Questions on the survey include:

  • basic demographic information (your campus or institution name and your role),
  • your participation in events, grants, and award programs, including opportunities to provide feedback on the processes and why you may not have applied for an award or grant
  • comment boxes in which you’re able to note ICC has helped you plan, develop, or implement new programs and partnerships related to service engagement on your campus or in your organization or community.

If you received an invitation to participate in the Fall 2010 IMPACT survey and haven’t had a chance to fill it out, I encourage you to do so today.  Your feedback is an important tool for planning so make sure your thoughts are included.

If you participated in an ICC program last year and didn't get an email inviting you to participate in the survey, please contact Liza Newman at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so that she can add you to future mailing lists.
