Join Us in Recognizing Healthy and Engaged Communities at the Bringle Civic Engagement Showcase & Symposium

 

The IUPUI Center for Service and Learning is pleased to announce the 2014 IUPUI Robert G. Bringle Civic Engagement Showcase and Symposium (CESS) to be held on Wednesday, April 23rd.

 

This year's theme is ‘Healthy and Engaged Communities: Campus and Community Partnerships as Strategies to Support the Well-Being of Indianapolis and Beyond’

 

IUPUI’s strategic plan reaffirms the campus’ commitment to community engagement.  As a part of this commitment, IUPUI faculty, staff, students, and community partners have come together in innovative ways to create and support healthy, engaged communities. This year’s event will explore these innovative partnerships and projects, creating an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the ways in which our campus and community are coming together to support the well-being of Indianapolis and beyond.

 

The event will feature:

  • Informative Workshops
  • Poster presentations
  • Community Partner Networking Lunchwith a Keynote by Paula Means, Program Manager for Community Health Engagement Program (CHEP), IU Clinical Translational Science Institute
  • An awards recognition programfor the 2013-14 Plater Civic Engagement Medallion recipients.
