ICC Community Service Director Award

Honoring Those Who Facilitate and Inspire Service Engagement to Create Campus and Community Connections. The Indiana Campus Compact Outstanding Community Service Director Award is presented annually to recognize professional staff at Indiana Campus Compact member campuses who are exemplars of building campus and community connections while supporting student learning and development through community engagement.

Any professional staff member from an Indiana Campus Compact member institution may apply or be nominated for the Community Service Director Award.

ESSAY GUIDELINES

Keeping in mind the award criteria of building campus and community connections while supporting student learning and development through community engagement, in no more than three, double-spaced pages, please

  • provide a reflective piece on the transforming impact of those campus and community connections for faculty, staff, students, and the community;
  • describe any innovative programming that you have created and/or implemented which has greatly affected the campus and the community and discuss the outcomes - include qualitative information such as quotes and stories along with quantitative information; and
  • provide evidence of your own commitment to offering your professional service in meeting a community need and long-term solutions.
