welcome to Indiana Campus Compact

For 20 years, Indiana Campus Compact (ICC) has helped member institutions mobilize students state-wide to communities in need. ICC advances the public purpose of colleges and universities by deepening their ability to improve community life and educate students for civic and social responsibility. This work is accomplished at many levels by engaging faculty, staff, students, university administrators, and community partners in this work. In 2012, ICC supported nearly 60,000 individuals through grant programs, professional development opportunities, resources, and networking.

While we spent much of last year reflecting on our past  as we celebrated Indiana Campus Compact’s 20th anniversary, we also spent time looking forward to the future of civic and community engagement on Indiana’s higher education campuses and are continuing that forward movement this year.

We were pleased to learn earlier this year that we have received continued funding from the Lilly Endowment Inc. to support many of the programs that you have come to identify with Indiana Campus Compact including our Faculty Fellows program  and the Service Engagement Summit  as well as allow us to support some new programs including the Engaged Campus grant which includes funding options for campus wide and departmental initiatives. If you haven’t noticed already, we have changed the application process for our grants and moved most of them to a revolving review process to allow you more flexibility in submitting your application.

Before the new school year gets too busy, I recommend taking few a minutes to visit our website and make sure that you are familiar with our upcoming events  and new and old grant opportunities . And while you are visiting, don’t forget to review this year’s award applications. As always, the best way to stay up to date with all of our events, resources, and opportunities is through our eBrief, our website, and our staff .  Throughout the year, these will be the best places to get updates about conference speakers and schedules and new resources and opportunities.

We look forward to working with you as we help strengthen and support service engagement on your campus!
